Geraint Thomas MBE, British Road Race Champion, is now the Patron of the R.I.S. Junior Tour of Wales.

Although Geraint is currently racing in the Paris - Nice he took time out to tell us:

"The Junior Tour of Wales is for me the biggest junior race on the domestic calendar.  I really enjoy racing on home roads!  It has terrain to test every type of rider of the 5 stages making for some great racing.  I always wanted to win it but could only manage 2nd.  Hopefully we can have a Welsh winner very soon..."

"We are very proud and privileged to have the most successful Welsh Cyclist as the patron of the Junior Tour of Wales," said a delighted race organiser Talbot Thrush.

The Junior Tour of Wales is promoted by C.C. Blaenau Gwent formerly known as Abertillery Wheelers under Welsh Cycling and British Cycling Regulations.

C.C. Blaenau Gwent are grateful to the many other clubs who assist every year.
